Rob Berg
 
Rob graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2001 with both finance and accounting degrees. He worked at KPMG LLP. for five years specializing in tax and audit, entering the mortgage industry in late 2004.  Rob worked at Columbia funding before starting Cascade Mortgage Corporation in May of 2006.
 
Rob is still a licensed CPA today and has an extensive financial consulting background and a detailed understanding of tax consequences that separates him from others in the mortgage industry.  He is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (since 2001) and lives in Seattle with his family.

Dietrich Miklautsch, managing principal
 
Dietrich graduated in 1998 from Washington State University with a BA in Information Systems and worked as a software consultant until 2002.  He began his mortgage practice with First Horizon Home Loans (now Met Life) in 2002 before moving to Columbia funding and then starting Cascade Mortgage Corporation in 2006.  He has a passion for providing education to his clients to make the most strategic decisions when selecting a mortgage.
 
Dietrich has built his mortgage practice on a solid foundation of education, advice, customer service and outstanding work ethic that is noticed by his peers and clients alike.  His team is dedicated to providing top of the line service from start to finish to exceed client expectations.
 
Dietrich lives in Issaquah with his wife, April, and two sons, Landon and Kyler.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, cheering for the WSU Cougs, enjoying wine, backcountry skiing and golf.

Craig Walker, mortgage consultant
 
Craig graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1993 with a BS in exercise science and earned a master's of arts in teaching in 2000.  After teaching high school and then working for the Seattle Sounders, Craig began working for Countrywide Home Loans in 2003 and was awarded the top 2% Circle of Excellence Achiever in 2007 has built his mortgage practice with professionalism, financial strategy and top notch customer service.
 

Craig joined the Cascade Mortgage Corporation in 2009 and has a reputation for client satisfaction.  Devoting himself to make the mortgage process as easy as possible for his clients he earned the Certified Mortgage Planner Specialist designation and understands the current financial landscape to help clients understand their options when selecting a mortgage.

Jim Hoge, mortgage consultant
Jim believes it is critical “to align yourself with an expert who listens to your individual needs and unique circumstances and acts on your behalf with integrity.”

Jim graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in marketing and entered the mortgage business in 2003 with JP Morgan Chase (formerly Chase Manhattan). He now enjoys working at a company that allows him to search numerous lenders to find tailored, more competitive programs for his clients.

Jim’s website (www.SeattleMortgagePlanners.com) has a strong online presence in Seattle and is an important component to his business model. While Jim often works with customers seeking larger loan amounts and is comfortable analyzing complicated tax returns, he also takes pride in assisting first-time home-buyers and those who are unfamiliar with the mortgage process. You can expect the  process to be carefully explained and to receive regular updates along the way.

Jim lives in Seattle with his wife Jennifer and their sometimes adorable son Jack.

Tom Shannon, client transaction coordinator, mortgage advisor
 
Tom graduated in 1997 from Washington State University with a Bachelor degree in Business Marketing.  His professional career began as an international sales coordinator for a sports lighting company which involved traveling to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea. 
 
He began his mortgage practice with Marina Mortgage in San Diego, CA and started his own mortgage company in 2005 specializing in first time home buyers and investment property education.
 
Tom recently joined the Cascade team as Dietrich Miklautsch’s transaction coordinator and is widely considered the expert on programs and pricing in the office.  He is a member of the Mighty Reds soccer team and his interests include boating, snowboarding, music, playing his guitar and working on his home.

Kristina Speed, processing specialist
 
Kristina runs the "back stage" operation for the Cascade Mortgage Corporation team.  She is detail oriented and in control of navigating a complex landscape of appraisers, processing, underwriting, title & escrow to ensure that loan documents meet compliance regulations as well as fund on time and accurately for our clients.
 
She is a team player and has earned a reputation within the industry as one of the best.
